POLICE are investigating two sex crimes at Brighouse railway station.
They have appealed for help from passengers after two incidents of men exposing themselves on the platforms.
Police do not believe the same man was responsible for both crimes, as the descriptions do vary.
But British Transport Police have vowed to catch those responsible.
PC Amy Johnston, who is investigating one of the incidents, explained: “On Monday, February 4 around 11.15am, a man was seen by a 29-year-old woman to be touching himself indecently on the platform.
“Despite noticing that the woman had seen him, the man continued to touch himself and stared at her, making her feel uncomfortable.”
The man is described as white, approximately 5ft 9in, and was wearing a dark brown leather jacket with a hood and grey jogging bottoms.
PC Tahira Bibi, investigating a second incident, said: “The second incident took place on Thursday, March 14, when a 16-year-old girl was on a train waiting at the station at 8.15am.
“When she looked out of the window, she noticed a man on the platform, who then indecently exposed himself to her.”
He is described as aged in his mid-to-late forties, wearing a beige jacket and had short brown hair.
PC Bibi added: “Although incidents like this are rare on the rail network, these were clearly very frightening and upsetting ordeals for the victims.
“We’ll do all we can to find the men responsible”.
