SOFT drinks firm Ben Shaws is ringing the changes - with a new range of products and a fresh look for some old favourites.
Ben Shaws, based at Birkby, has been quenching thirsts since 1871.
Now it is targeting a new generation with its Pennine Clear range of flavoured bottled water and re-launched range of traditional beverages, such as Dandelion & Burdock and Cloudy Lemonade.
The new additions have already found favour with visitors to this summer's Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival.
They included retired schoolteacher Moira Belcher, of Fenay Bridge, who won a prize draw run by Ben Shaws during the festival.
Mrs Belcher, who taught at Royds Hall High School, Paddock, said: "My favourite Ben Shaws drink is lemonade. It brings back fond memories of visits to the local fish and chip shop with my father.
"I still go to the local fish and chip shop now to get Ben Shaws drinks."
One visitor to the company's stand at the festival owned up to packing Ben Shaws pop on visits to relatives in London, Scotland, Malta and Spain.
Another told staff: "Ben Shaws is a must when our Australian relatives - ex-Huddersfield people - come for a holiday."
Ben Shaws marketing co-ordinator Vicky Chilton said: "The Pennine Clear range has been created in direct response to growing demand from consumers for a wider choice in the bottled water market as more and more people choose to drink it all year round as part of a healthy lifestyle."
The new range features a selection a unusual flavours such as Apple & Cinnamon, Plum & Ginger, Strawberry & Garden Mint, Rhubarb & Rose, Pear & Lavender and Quince & Nettle.
The Traditional Style range, featuring many childhood favourites, has been expanded to include shandy and ginger beer.
