AN AUTUMN fair in Shelley proved very successful. It was part of a year of fundraising by Clr Malcolm McDonald, chairman of Kirkburton Parish Council. It raised £700 for his chosen charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and pushed the total so far to £2,300. Clr McDonald said: "I set a target of £2,000 and to have reached that already is great news. We have other events planned, including a World War II dance in Shelley on November 5." He appealed for anyone wanting to help with fundraising to contact him on 01484 609032.
