LIBRARY staff across Kirklees have been praised for keeping their shelves full of good things to read.
They have been branded `excellent' in a nationally recognised scheme, moving up a rating from last year.
The Stock Quality Health Check monitors the range of books in libraries.
Simon Craddock, who ensures Kirklees libraries have a diversified collection, said he was delighted.
He added: "Range is the keystone of our library stock.
"Our job is to provide Da Vinci's notebooks as well as the Da Vinci Code and Homer as well as Harry Potter."
