PRETTY as a picture! Fourteen-month-old Shianne Lewin is the Examiner Baby of the Year 2003.

Cute Shianne was voted top of the tots in this year's competition which attracted 530 entries.

She made it into the top 20 by beating off competition from several family members, who also entered to be named Huddersfield's bonniest babe.

And her mum Camilla Liburd, 20, of Sherwood Avenue, Bradley, and dad David Lewin revealed how Shianne's sunny personality adds to her winning charm.

"She's really good, no trouble at all. We go to the Ashbrow Children's Centre and she loves it there," said Camilla.

Shianne weighed 6lb 8oz when she was born on August 28 last year.

Proud grandma Millicent Liburd said Shianne was taking after her mum.

"Her mum was just the same, no trouble at all," she said.

Second place went to 22-month-old Chloe Lee Walsh, of Berry Brow with 14-month-old Daniel Lee Spencer, the only boy among the winners, taking the third place.

Chloe weighed in at 5lb 3oz when she was born in Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. She is the daughter of Lisa Box, of Birch Road, Berry Brow, and Chris Walsh.

Daniel Lee Spencer was a surprise delivery for his mum Samantha Hall, of Manchester Road, Milnsbridge, and dad Michael Spencer.

The couple, who have been together for 11 years were not planning a child but Daniel weighed in at a healthy 10lb 10oz.

Shianne will receive a silver trophy, a framed canvas portrait from John Woods Photography in the Byram Arcade and a £50 Woolworths voucher.

Chloe receives a portrait worth £100 and a £25 voucher and Daniel a £100 portrait.

Examiner readers voted for their top three winners from a final 20 in a phone vote last Monday.

Shianne received 314 votes, Chloe 308 and Daniel 280.
