A 44-YEAR-OLD man has made his first appearance before a Crown Court judge, charged with attempted murder.
It follows an alleged shooting in Brighouse earlier this month.
Allan Morrison, of Cold Street, Haworth, has been charged with attempting to murder a 52-year-old Halifax man, who suffered a gunshot wound to his stomach.
The man was injured during an incident in the Bridge End area of Brighouse on March 14 and was rushed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Morrison, who also faces an allegation of possessing a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, appeared before Bradford Crown Court yesterday via a video link with Armley Prison in Leeds.
During a brief hearing, Honorary Recorder of Bradford Judge Stephen Gullick told Morrison a provisional trial date had been fixed for August 1, but he would make a further appearance at the court on June 5.
There was no application for bail. Morrison was remanded in custody again by Judge Gullick.
