STORY time sessions are taking place in a town centre shop.
Mums and dads and their little ones are taking part in weekly reading events at Waterstone’s.
Each week the youngsters will be reading stories and then doing activities based on them.
The first session focused on the Billy Goats Gruff story, with the toddlers making goats with card and wool afterwards.
Catherine Haynes, of Waterstone’s in Kingsgate, said: “This is a great opportunity for mums and dads and young children to spend some time together reading and taking part in the activities.”
Story time with Kirklees Bookstart takes place at Waterstone’s every Monday from 1.30 to 2.30pm.
Everyone is welcome to join the reading events.
