A MAN accused of spying on a woman using a toilet in his shop will face a crown court trial.

Waheed Rehman was before Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court again yesterday.

The 32-year-old is accused of recording a person doing a private act for the purpose of sexual gratification.

Rehman is also accused of installing equipment to observe another at Newsome Convenience Store at Newsome Road.

He faces a second charge of installing equipment at a property at Stile Common Road in Primrose Hill where he lives.

The charges are dated between May 26 and June 2 last year.

An earlier hearing heard the woman, who had been permitted to use the facilities inside the shop, had allegedly found a mobile which had been recording her and which included images of her using the toilet.

District Judge Marie Mallon committed Rehman to stand trial at Bradford Crown Court.

His unconditional bail was extended until his appearance there which will be on January 20.
