A shop worker was injured during a robbery in Huddersfield.
The man was hit over the head by a thug who struck at the Top News shop this afternoon.
The robbery happened at 3.50pm at the shop in Colne Road, close to the big student hostels in Kings Bridge Road.
Police remained at the scene well into the evening. The shop was sealed off as forensic experts were called.
The injured man was taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary but was not believed to be badly hurt.
Officers could not confirm at this stage whether a weapon was involved.
It is not known what was taken in the raid.
