A newsagent grabbed an armed raider who threatened him with a knife on Saturday.
A 16-year-old youth is now in police custody after an alleged robbery on a brave Heckmondwike shopkeeper.
Det Insp Seth Robinson of Kirklees CID said the newsagent was threatened with a knife at his shop on Bradford Road on Saturday at 2pm.
Mr Robinson said: “He threatened him with a knife and wanted cash from the till.
“The shopowner grabbed the suspect who ran off empty-handed.”
