A GOLCAR charity shop has handed £1,000 to a community centre for a new kitchen. St Mark's Parish Church Community Centre in Longwood is set to benefit from cash raised at the By and Buy shop in Sycamore Avenue. Shop supervisor Pamela Gillet said: "The shop has raised more than £60,000 in the six years since it opened. It is a real Aladdin's cave. We sell everything from clothes to kitchen tools." Community groups can apply for cash from the shop by picking up an application form in the store.
