A CONGREGATION has dug deep to raise £1,000 for a local hospice.

The Guru Nanak Gurdwara Sikh Temple, Huddersfield, held a collection when they gathered in worship earlier this month.

The money raised has now been donated to the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice which provides care and support for children with life-limiting conditions.

Fundraiser Gina Fielding of The Forget Me Not Trust said: “I was delighted to be invited to attend a service at the Sikh Temple, and was made so welcome.

“The amount raised was staggering in so short a time, and we cannot thank them enough for their generous donation.”
