IT’S 3,346 miles but Simon Bradley will relish every one.
The diehard Town fan will be flying in from New York this weekend to see his beloved club in the play-off final at Old Trafford.
Simon, 42, will be joined on the flying visit by his son Matthew, 13, but wife Liz and daughters Megan and Ellie will be staying at home in Connecticut.
“Matthew is as keen as I am on Town but the girls are not bothered.
“I have followed Town all my life and even though I have lived all over the UK and the world, I still follow them.
“When I left Huddersfield at the age of 20 I moved to Devon but I still got to many games, especially away ones.
“I later lived and worked in Sweden before moving to New York four years ago, but still follow the side.
“I got up at 6am to watch the play-off against Bournemouth, streamed via the internet on to my laptop.
“I’m confident about Sunday even though, as a Town fan, I’ve had my share of disappointments over the years.
“This team attack so well, they are so fluent, and we have proved we can defend as well.”
Simon, who works as marketing vice president for Virgin Atlantic, and Matthew will fly into the UK on Saturday, travel up to Huddersfield to see family and friends before Sunday’s game, and then fly home on Monday.
