A MIRFIELD man who threatened shop workers with a mallet will serve six years in prison.
Dale Coulson, 20, of Northway Crescent targeted staff at the One Stop Shop with a mallet and stole £300.
He was sentenced to six years at Leeds Crown Court for the offence at the Greenside Road shop, Mirfield, on December 8.
He was given four years for robbery and two years for breach of an antisocial behaviour order.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “We are pleased with the sentence handed down by the court and will continue to proactively clampdown on those who commit such offences in Kirklees.”
