RETAILER Next is to create 60 jobs with a new store in Huddersfield.
The fashion chain is opening a new store on the town's Great Northern Retail Park, off Leeds Road, on Thursday, March 2.
The two-storey premises were previously occupied by PC World.
The new store will sell womenswear, children's clothing, menswear and products for the home.
The unit has nearly 13,000sq ft of trading space.
Staff have already been recruited and are being trained, ready for the opening.
Next said the move would not affect its existing Huddersfield store at the Kingsgate Centre.
A spokeswoman said: "Both stores will operate."
The company also has West Yorkshire stores at Birstall, Halifax, Leeds and Bradford.
Next, formed in 1982, has more than 450 stores across the UK and 100 franchised outlets overseas.
The new Huddersfield shop is the latest in a string of larger stores to be opened in recent years.
They include a flagship 80,000sq ft store in Manchester's Arndale Centre.
The company also has a mail order business, Next Directory - launched in 1988 - and an online shopping service, which started in 1999.
Next's latest results showed the company increased pre-tax profits by 6.1% to £172.6m in the six months to the end of July, 2005.
