MINNIE Mouse and Buzz Lightyear were just a few of the Disney favourites who appeared at a Skelmanthorpe nursery.

Staff and the 48 children at Hawthorns Nursery dressed-up as Disney film characters to raise money for The Crackerjack Trust.

The charity helps families with disabled children by providing respite and special equipment.

Susan Francique, of Hawthorns said: “The 48 children all paid £1 to wear fancy dress, with their parents very kindly offering further donations.

“The 14 members of staff also dressed up.

“It was a great day and the pre-schoolers did lots of Disney inspired activities including drawings of the most famous characters.

“It is a fantastic cause and is lovely to see children helping other children.”

The Skelmanthorpe-based nursery looks after children from birth to aged five.
