A SLAITHWAITE man appeared before a court charged with assault.
Shane Fitzpatrick, who lives in Longroyd Crescent, is alleged to have assaulted a woman by beating her on Sunday, February 6.
The 27-year-old appeared before Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday but did not enter a plea.
Instead, the case was adjourned until Thursday, February 24, for a bail hearing on Thursday, March 3, when the case is then expected to progress.
Fitzpatrick was released on bail in the meantime.
