PANTOMIME sparkle is soon to hit Mirfield in a puff of smoke.

Mirfield Team Parish Pantomime Committee is putting on five performances of Sleeping Beauty.

Musical director and pianist Wendy Storey told the Examiner: “It’s our 63rd production and we have lots of young people involved.

“There’s such a community spirit and it’s so much fun it makes you feel so great and all the young people are so lovely.

“The youngest we have is six-years-old and there are lots of youngsters involved, with the older ones having the main parts and the younger ones in the chorus.”

The first performance will be on Wednesday, February 1 at 7.15pm at St Mary’s Parish Church Centre.

There are 7.15pm performances also on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Saturday will see a matinée at 1.30pm and a final 6pm show.

Tickets for the opening night are £3.50 and £5.50 thereafter (£3.50 for concessions).
