DAREDEVILS are being sought by bone marrow charity The Anthony Nolan Trust for a fundraising challenge.

The charity, which keeps one of the UK’s two bone marrow donor registers, is calling on Huddersfield people to take part in a sponsored zip slide at Headingley Carnegie Stadium in Leeds on September 21.

Those taking part will slide across the pitch down a zip wire, travelling at up to 30mph.

Funds raised will go towards the Trust’s work recruiting bone marrow donors, who could prove a vital match for 16,000 patients in the world who are waiting for a transplant.

Bone marrow transplants are used to cure around 70 different disorders, including leukaemia.
