POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an early evening robbery in Paddock.
A man was mugged by a thug who struck at 7pm last Friday January 4.
The victim, who is in his 20s, had just got out of his car in Larch Road when a man wearing a hoodie threatened him and demanded his bag.
The victim threw the bag at the man and ran off. He was pursued for a short distance by the suspect and a second man.
The attackers then returned to the car, smashed the rear window with a brick and stole some tools inside. They then ran off towards Heaton Road and got into a car which sped off.
The first suspect is described as a black man about 5ft 11ins tall. He was wearing a dark-coloured baseball jacket with a white hooded top underneath, blue jeans and white and blue Adidas trainers.
The second suspect was about 5ft 7ins. He was wearing dark clothing and his face was covered.
