A BIKER died after a collision with a truck during rush hour yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to yesterday’s incident to come forward.
A Suzuki GSXR sports motorcycle and a Ford Transit truck collided at the junction of Bradford Road and Listing Lane in Littletown, Liversedge, shortly before 7am.
The 29-year-old Dewsbury man on the bike suffered serious injuries and was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital but died.
The man has not yet been named.
Police were informing his family of his death.
The 50-year-old driver of the truck, which belongs to Towler and Staines Calor gas supply company in Bradford, was arrested following the incident on suspicion of careless driving.
He was later released on bail pending further enquiries.
A large area around the crash scene, including Listing Lane, Valley Road and part of Bradford Road, was cordoned off as West Yorkshire police’s major collision enquiry team carried out investigations.
