A FIVE-a-side football tournament kicked off yesterday at Soccer City in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Eleven teams including one from the charity entered the competition.

The teams, which mainly came from across Huddersfield, paid £30 to enter with all proceeds going to the charity.

Soccer City donated trophies for the prize winners, manager Sam Turner said: “We wanted to try and raise awareness of the charity and help drum up support for the cause”.
