HUNDREDS of people are expected at an annual carol service in Huddersfield Parish Church.

The event is held by the Huddersfield Society of Chartered Accountants at 1pm on Thursday, December 16.

Roger Kenworthy, the society's president, said he was delighted that Honley Male Voice Choir and the Sellers International Brass Band will be performing again this year.

He added: "We are very grateful for the continuing support from both these well-known and very popular organisations, who contribute so much to the success of the service."

The service will include carols, choir performances and five readings by invited guests.

Mr Kenworthy said: "Entry is free, but I would recommend early arrival as we are expecting more than 350 people - and hoping for 450 to 500."
