THE Cupwith Reservoir Action Group will hold a ‘splash mob’ in a bid to halt plans to drain much of the reservoir.
The site, near Scammonden is owned by the Earl of Dartmouth’s Estate, which has been ordered to improve the safety of the ‘dangerous’ dam.
The group hopes the estate will consider less drastic options to improve safety and save the reservoir.
CRAG has support from bird-watchers, ramblers, swimmers and families who value the area for leisure and picnics.
The group is having a splash mob and picnic at Cupwith Reservoir on Sunday, December 9, from midday-1pm.
