HIKERS are invited to join a sponsored charity ramble.
The North Kirklees Rambler Association will lead the walk around the Luddite landscape of north Kirklees.
The moderate seven mile walk will start from the Dumb Steeple in Mirfield and pass Hartshead before returning to the Three Nuns Inn in Mirfield.
A Luddite expert will give a talk about the history of the area, including the story of the Brontes, who attended Roe Head School in Mirfield, now known as Holly Bank School. The sponsored walk is in aid of the special school which caters for severely disabled youngsters from the age of five to 19.
