Strange goings-on with flickering electrics in Mirfield has sparked a conversation on Facebook!
After the story appeared on our Facebook page, people all over Huddersfield and further afield said they'd had the same problem!
Rebecca Auty said: "Heckmondwike too, since early hours Tuesday ...thought those expensive "lasts 7 years" led lights were already on the fritz after a month!"
Carl Morphett said: "It's happening in Dewsbury next door to the hospital."
Matthew Smith said: "In highburton when the lights are on it's like it's 'waving'. Brighter to lower constantly, every room, not quite a flicker but weird as hell."
Stace Wroe said: "Been happening in Thornhill Dewsbury for the past 4/5 days on and off."
And Amanda Sayers said: "Yesterday in Holmfirth! Thought I was going mad!"
Other people reported flickering in Kirkheaton, Wooldale, Meltham, Honley, Dalton and Shepley.
People debated what was causing the flickering - from water in the electrics or a solar storm to drunkenness and someone making contact with the spirit world.
And joker Gary Sutton added: "It happened here in my house on Leeds Road right before Casper walked through the wall and sat on the dog cage!"
Northern Powergrid said engineers were looking into the problem and apologised to customers.
