MORE than 400 people celebrated sports achievement at Brooksbank School.
The Elland school held an awards evening where the special guest was Gary Worthington, a former student and professional footballer who is now the Assistant Head Scout for Manchester City.
Paul Hagreen, also a former student, who carried the Olympic Torch, also attended.
"It has been an outstanding year for Brooksbank", said Kevin McCallion the headteacher. "This is just another example of the success produced by a fantastic team we have at Brooksbank made up of pupils, parents and staff."
Forty-two pupils were honoured for their achievements at the Calderdale Athletics Champions and the school were Calderdale Champions in football, rugby league, tennis, athletics, netball, gymnastics, badminton, table- tennis, trampolining and cross country.
