YOUNGSTERS will be able to try out new sports this half-term.

The free sessions have been organised in the new games area at Almondbury Junior School.

Coaches will offer children aged from eight to 11 sports such as netball and football - along with a host of other activities.

All the sessions, sponsored by building project company Jarvis, are free but children must get a parental consent form from Almondbury Junior School or download a copy from the website www.kirkleesactive.co.uk

The two sessions are on Monday from 1pm to 3pm and on Wednesday, again from 1pm to 3pm.

The sessions have been organised by Kirklees Active Leisure and the Communities United Project, a company with charitable status which provides sporting activities for young people in deprived areas.
