THE Sportsman pub in Huddersfield has won another prestigious award.
The real ale tavern at the junction of Fitzwilliam Street and St John’s Road has been awarded the Campaign For Real Ale Huddersfield Branch Pub of the Year 2012.
The Sportsman was reopened by Mike Field and Sarah Barnes, owners of the award-winning West Riding Refreshment Rooms at Dewsbury train station, in 2009.
The pub stocks real ales which are brewed in-house, guest ales and real ciders.
