SPRING eventually sprung in Meltham this year.

The village hall displayed a host of golden daffodils and colourful crocuses as part of the Meltham Gardeners’ Spring Show.

There were also a range of other types of spring flowers in the show.

Secretary Anne Jones told the Examiner: “We had a good day and it was a very nice show considering the weather that we’ve had this year.”

Fred Dixon, of Meltham, won the two top trophies for best exhibit in the show and most points in the show.
