A PUB has kept its licence after reaching a deal with police.
Kirklees Council’s Licensing Panel had been due to rule on Spring Grove Tavern in Kirkburton yesterday.
Police had requested a licence review following a mass brawl at the Penistone Road pub, recently renamed The Spring, on January 8. Six of the seven people arrested were aged 17.
But councillors yesterday backed a deal reached between police and landlord Matthew Willis.
He has agreed to install CCTV and to keep a register of incidents where under-age drinkers are refused service.
