FLO the springer spaniel is a clever dog – with impeccable taste in reading matter.

The two-year-old hound loves nothing better than dipping into her daily copy of the Examiner.

For Flo it’s the back page first to read the latest news on her beloved TERRIERS.

And today, of course, she has the chance to read the new-look Weekend Examiner, with a 56-page glossy TV magazine and a 20-page Saturday Extra supplement.

This picture was posted on Facebook and Twitter by proud owners Ellie and Bailey Coppack.

Ellie, 12, and sister Bailey, 13, of Mirfield, couldn’t believe it when they found Flo settled down with her head in the Examiner.

Mum Lisa Coppack (inset) and stepdad Graham Ellis, both 42, have entered the Examiner’s Win a Dream Wedding competition.

The couple, who met on a dating website, are furiously collecting the tokens needed to win the £12,000 prize hoping to tie the knot in style.

Self-employed builder Graham said: “It was when we had all the Examiners spread to cut out the tokens that Flo decided she fancied a look.

“Now she drags a copy off to her basket every day. She’s barking mad for it!”

The family are big Town fans and the club has supported Bailey since she was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2008.

Graham added: “We all love Flo to bits, especially Ellie and Bailey. She is one clever dog.”

Wedding tokens are printed in the Examiner up to and including Tuesday April 9 and entries must be received by Monday April 15.
