A MAN is critically ill after he was stabbed in Thornhill.
The 35-year-old man was found collapsed in a street in the area at 3.25pm yesterday.
Police inquiries later established he had been stabbed in the chest by two men at his home at nearby Ings Crescent in Thornhill, Dewsbury.
The victim, who has not been named, was said to be in "critical" condition in Leeds General Infirmary today.
The stabbing is being investigated by West Yorkshire Police's newly-established Homicide and Major Inquiry Team.
Officers confirmed this morning that a 33-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident and was being questioned by detectives today at Dewsbury police station.
Police are now anxious to speak to anyone who has any information about what happened or saw the victim after he was stabbed.
