A MAN badly hurt in a road accident is stable after surgery.

Pedestrian Garry Bingham, 46, of Golcar, was in collision with a VW Golf car in Trinity Street, Huddersfield, near Greenhead Road, at 7.25pm on Monday, June 7.

He suffered serious head and chest injuries, along with two broken legs.

In the days after the accident he was in a critical condition at Leeds General Infirmary.

He has now been transferred to St James's Hospital in the city, where his condition is said to be stable.
