An Aspley woman called police to her home and threatened to harm herself.

Stacey Langrick, of Day Street, dialled the emergency services asking for help.

Officers arrived at her home at just before 8pm on November 11.

Langrick, 37, was heavily in drink and told police that she felt depressed.

They stayed with her for two hours until she told them that she was no longer thinking about harming herself.

Vanessa Schofield, prosecuting, told Kirklees magistrates that her temperament still continued to change.

She said: “She said she would jump off a bridge near to where she lived.

“Then she showed random aggressiveness towards officers, saying that she would smash their faces in.”

Langrick was then arrested for breaching the peace, which she admitted when she was brought before the court in custody.

Ms Schofield said that police had previously been to talk to her 28 times – 16 times in the last year alone.

Langrick, who was not represented, told magistrates that she was going through a difficult time.

She added that she was now receiving help for her drinking and other problems.
