RUNNERS who laced-up their trainers on Boxing Day helped raise £2,000 for charity.

Stainland Lions report that 255 people turned out for this year’s fun run.

And they raised £2,000 for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice and Martin House children’s hospice at Wetherby

The three-mile run through Stainland is now in its 25th year and has raised more than £40,000 for childrens hospices since.

It is organised by the Stainland Lions and over the year thousands of people have given up their Boxing Day morning to take part in the fun run.
