BOXER Amir Khan has denied driving at twice the legal speed limit.

BOXER Amir Khan has denied driving at twice the legal speed limit.

Khan, 20, is accused of driving at 140mph in his BMW M6 convertible on the M62 near Rochdale last New Year's Eve.

Khan, of Lostock, near Bolton, pleaded not guilty via a letter from his solicitor.

He did not attend the hearing at Rochdale Magistrates' Court and the case was adjourned to Monday, May 21.
