SPOTTING celebrities in the bar is one thing ... being served by them is quite another.
For one night only, stars of sport and the small screen will serve drinks at a popular Huddersfield venue to raise cash for the Laura Crane Trust.
Emmerdale's Verity Rushworth and Alex Carter will be among those pulling pints and mixing cocktails at The Star Bar event from 7.30pm on Thursday, June 29, at the Cotton Factory, King Street.
They will be joined by Huddersfield Giants stars Robbie Paul, Chris Nero and Albert Torrens.
Organisers expect to confirm more celebrity names next week - including stars of TV soap Coronation Street.
The star-studded evening will also include an auction of items donated by celebrities.
Proceeds from ticket sales and the auction will go to the Laura Crane Trust, funding research into cancer affecting young people. The event is part of the trust's 10th anniversary appeal, Survive and Thrive.
Event organiser Leon Rushworth, of LCR Promotions Ltd, said: "The event is going to be an excellent evening to raise money for a worthy cause. Customers are in for a night to remember."
Trust fundraising manager Pam Thornes said: "This is a wonderful fundraising initiative and a fantastic night out. "We hope lots of people will come along and support the Laura Crane Trust."
