A hospice is staging its third annual colour run this Saturday ... and there is still time to sign up for it.
Overgate Hospice in Elland is staging the event this Saturday (July 9) at 11am and is on track to be its largest so far. Just over 1,200 people took part in Calderdale’s brightest run last year and more than 1,400 have already registered for this year’s event!
The Colour Run consists of a 5km route around Savile Park, Halifax, where the runners will pass through sponsored colour stations where they will be doused with several colours of powdered paint. People can complete the distance as they wish, be it running, walking or skipping.
The run will be followed by a Colour Party hosted by Bazz from Bazzmatazz Dance Studio in Halifax. Last year saw Bazz doused the crowd in clouds of powdered paint.
