IF YOU still want to do more for the tsunami victims why not take part in the Examiner Charity Challenge this year?

Participants are free to choose any charity to raise cash for at the May event, which is sponsored by HSBC and organised by local Lions clubs.

Last year's challenge raised more than £40,000 for more than 100 charities. Some 1,200 people took part.

This year's Charity Challenge - the 16th - is on Sunday, May 22.

It includes three-mile and six-and- a-half-mile walks, four cycle rides, a nine-mile horse ride and a special two-mile wheelchair/pushchair route round Blackmoorfoot Reservoir.

Entry forms will appear in the Examiner and on its icHuddersfield website from the start of April.

The entry fee for advance registration is £2, which will be collected on the day.

People can also register on the day for £5. There is no charge for children under 16.

Anyone wanting further information about the Charity Challenge can phone Bob Armitage, chairman of the organising committee, on 07802 900653.
