THREE coffee mornings have raised £1,327 for Kirkwood Hospice.

The cross-stitch club, which meets at the hospice, in Dalton, held the coffee mornings in October at The Grange Surgery, Fartown.

Patients, staff and doctors dug deep to raise the money.

Organiser Doreen Haigh said: "This is the third year in a row we have done this but this is by far the biggest total.

"We must say a big thank you to everyone who has given so generously."

Members also sold their own cross-stitch to help raise the cash.

Kate Leadbeater, of the hospice, said the amount of money raised was incredible. She thanked the club for their efforts.
