Bike abandoned
A STOLEN motorbike has been found abandoned in woodland. Police responded to a report of it being found in woods off Haughs Road in Quarmby. The registration plate had been removed. This was found discarded in undergrowth not far from where the bike had been left. A check of the registration revealed that the motorbike had been stolen. It was taken the night previously, from Ryefield Avenue just around the corner. Officers contacted the victim immediately and the bike was returned.
