A puppy stolen from a home in Lockwood has been found well and re-united with its owners.

Mimi, a female puppy, was taken from the rear yard of a property on Victoria Road, Lockwood at 4.45pm on on Tuesday, July 22.

But police are still hunting two boys who allegedly stole the puppy and have issued a CCTV image of two males they would like to speak to.

Mimi was found at an address in the Newsome area of Huddersfield. She is fit and well.

PC Emma Poole of the Huddersfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I am delighted to report that Mimi has today been found and returned to her rightful home.

“The investigation continues, however, and I would urge anyone who recognises either of the two males pictured to get in contact.”

One person officers want to speak to in connection with the incident is described as a white male, 15 years old, of medium build and wearing a white vest and khaki coloured shorts.

The other person was also a white male, aged 14 and of medium build wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts.

A young boy’s pet pug, named Peaches, is still missing from Batley.

The dog, owned by Ellis Barrett, was lured from the garden by two men in June but has so far not been recovered.
