HOSPITAL staff have said thanks to the store who solved their toaster crisis.
Worried nurses in Ward 15 at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary found their new toaster broke after switching it on yesterday morning, leaving patients without breakfast.
But a call to Asda’s Bradford Road store was met with a rapid response; an Asda employee was in the ward within two hours with a new toaster.
Ward sister Shelagh Phillips said: “It was a marvellous example of great customer care. A lot of our patients have had major surgery and toast is often the first thing they are allowed to eat.”
