STAFF at Tesco in Brighouse swapped their uniforms for sportswear to launch a new scheme at the superstore.
They dressed in sports gear to help launch the national Tesco Sport for Schools and Clubs scheme, which aims to encourage more young people to enjoy sport.
Shoppers will be given a Tesco Sport voucher for every £10 they spend in store - or every £5 in Tesco Express stores.
These vouchers can be collected by schools and sports clubs and exchanged for sports equipment or professional coaching sessions.
Equipment is available for athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, dance, football, gymnastics, hockey, netball, rounders, rugby, table tennis and tennis.
The number of vouchers needed for equipment and coaching ranges vastly - for example a cricket kit bag costs 9,220 vouchers while a Gilbert XT400 Rugby Ball needs just 187 vouchers.
To get children excited about the scheme, Tesco is giving schools and clubs the chance to win a coaching session from either rugby star Jason Robinson, marathon runner Paula Radcliffe or football hero Frank Lampard.
Any school or club which places an order through the Tesco Sport scheme will be entered into a draw to win a celebrity coaching session.
The vouchers will only be available in store until November 6 and they have to be used by schools or clubs by January 15, 2006.
