STAFF at Asda’s Huddersfield store teamed up with the Huddersfield Giants to promote healthy eating.

They gave out free pieces of fruit to shoppers to help support a cancer charity’s annual fundraising day as well as promote the benefits of healthy eating.

The healthy eating drive was part of Fruity Friday, a fundraising day organised by the World Cancer Research Fund, to increase public awareness of the links between diet, nutrition and cancer prevention.

Events coordinator at Asda Huddersfield, Sue Shaw, said: “Opportunities like these are fantastic, as we can bring people together in a fun way to promote healthy eating as well as the importance of getting five-a-day.”
