TWELVE roadside rescuers stripped off to raise money for an industry charity.

The "delicious dozen" feature in Huddersfield-based Britannia Rescue's 2005 calendar.

The Recovery Guys overcame their shyness in front of the camera to support the charity Ben, which next year celebrates its centenary.

Ben, founded in 1905, is the occupational benevolent fund for employees past and present from the motor, cycle, commercial vehicle and agricultural engineering industries, plus all associated trades.

The final 12 calendar boys were whittled down from hundreds of Britannia Rescue staff in an internet vote.

One man from Huddersfield was nominated, but failed to make it to the final 12.

"This calendar is a great way for everyone to support the cause and enjoy a selection of our wonderful mechanics, of whom we are very proud," said Gail Fee, Britannia's group marketing director.
