A STUDENT was robbed of his mobile phone as he walked along a street with his young sister.

The 17-year-old victim and his 13-year-old sister were in Kilpin Hill Lane in Staincliffe, Batley, at around 1.15pm on Tuesday when a youth asked if they wanted to buy a mobile phone.

When the teenager turned him down he was grabbed by the shoulder and ordered to hand over his own phone and a second attacker then threatened to punch the victim.

The victim handed over his phone and the thieves fled towards Halifax Road. Both are Asian youths aged around 16.

One

wore a khaki hooded top with pockets on the front of it and dark tracksuit bottoms.

The other was skinny with pronounced cheekbones and wore a black hooded coat and dark tracksuit bottoms.
