A NEW exhibition featuring the work of students has been unveiled at West Yorkshire Print Workshop.

The Exhibit A photographic exhibition was created by first year photography students at Batley School of Art and Design.

It was launched in front of the Mayor of Kirklees, Clr Andrew Palfreeman, creative industry professionals and local dignitaries.

The group of 10 students are a mix of rising young stars within the photographic field, alongside artistic mature students.

They are all passionate about photography and pushing the medium’s artistic boundaries.

Their individual specialisms include fashion, beauty, advertising, fine art, portraiture, architecture and landscape.

The exhibition is sponsored by the Sharp Agency, which recently ran the Spirit of Huddersfield shop window artwork project.

The students were involved with the project and their work is on display in the centre of Huddersfield as part of the town’s regeneration programme.

The exhibition at the Mirfield-based gallery runs until July.
