STUDENTS from a New Mill school got to grips with interview technique and confidence building during special sessions.

Twelve year 10 students from Lydgate School learned about how to answer questions and prepare for interviews for employment and college during the mock interview sessions.

The event was organised by Compact Education Business Services, a local education and business partnership working extensively in local schools.

Employees of high street bank HBOS led the sessions and were impressed with the confidence and preparation of the young people involved.

Lydgate School is for children aged five to 19 with learning disabilities.
